Chapter 6

Choose Your Platform

Artists often find themselves drowning in a suffocating abundance of ever-shifting social media platforms, This a silent tax on your sanity that compounds daily as you try to be everywhere at once. In this landscape, poor engagement is often more a matter of a scattered effort, rather than poor content quality.

For this reason I advocate for a singular platform focus initially, later with a larger team and improved workflow you can take steps to create tailored content for each platform:

  • Pick one social media platform where your core fans live. Master it. Become undeniable there.
  • Automate the resharing of this content across all other platforms for increased reach
  • As your project and team grow, focus on the next platform. Scale accordingly

The math doesn’t lie:

  • 1 platform × 100% effort = exponential growth
  • 5 platforms × 20% effort each = stagnation or linear decline

This isn't about working less or taking shortcuts. It's about leverage, achieving maximum impact by channeling all your creative force through a single point rather than diluting it across many.

Singular focus × Automated resharing = Omnipresence without overwhelm.

Create a consistent workflow where you produce content once, then distribute everywhere through automation. But your focus lives in one place when you’re in early phases.
